We find ourselves two staff member down and we'd like to find someone new to fill the empty space!
Things to consider before applying
Activity
How active are you on dA? Are you on the site nearly every day? We need someone that is around quite often. To begin with at least, you will only be responsible for one day of the week; however, you may be needed to cover other team members if they cannot do their day due to feeling unwell, going away, and so on.
Also, how involved are you within the dA community? We're ideally looking for someone that has a passion for the community and likes to get involved.
Personality
Personality matters. You will need to have a good attitude towards deviants you interact with. A friendly and helpful nature is a must. You also need to be able to handle any frustrations you encounter with a positive attitude. It is quite often that people will ask you questions that are in plain sight. Additionally, people can be occasionally rude about things; you need to be able to respond to them politely.
It's important to remember though that personality isn't just based on what has been mentioned above, so please try and think of other things about yourself that might be beneficial to us when applying!
What's involved & your responsibilities
Days Available
Currently we're looking for somebody who is free to do birthday duties on Wednesdays and Sundays. Please do NOT apply if you're unavailable for Wednesdays and Sundays.
Handling Notes
On average, we receive around 25 notes a day, but sometimes this can be slightly more or less. Most of these notes consist of adding people's birthdays to our database, and a few are made up of questions usually regarding how to add a birthday badge or problems with it. Sometimes you'll have notes requesting a removal from our database. You will be responsible for handling all notes on your set day.
Birthday Greetings
You'll visit the profile pages of all the deviants that are listed on our database and leave them their birthday greeting for the day you're responsible for.

What happens next?
We'll be leaving applications open until the end of the month, so we'll need to have your submission in by June 30th. We'll then spend the next few days going over the responses, and consider who we'll be welcoming aboard. We should have made a decision by July, so the week before then we'll have contacted some applicants further. If you haven't been contacted by us, please assume that we have already found who we are looking for. However, please don't be discouraged from applying for future team member positions. Although you may not be selected, you could have been our second or third choice, and we will hold onto your responses, just in case! (Note: KoudelkaW didn't get in the first time she applied either!)
In the event that we don't receive enough acceptable applications by the end of month, we may extend the search.
We're entirely grateful for anyone that is willing to offer a little of their time towards the *birthdays project, so a big thank you in advance for anyone that sends us an application.
